Monday Morning Short Link-o-rama

Some of the more interesting links on the web today:

- Om Malik has an interesting view on the grim future of stand-alone boxes in the living room – have to agree with him on that.

- Newteevee published a short article about cool new P2P devices.

- Lance Weiler discuss his “lesson learned” from an interactive screening of his movie Head Trauma.

- My friend Tsahi send me an excellent legal guide for bloggers.

Tsahi’s legal guide for bloggers is thorough and a must read. The review provides especially good guidelines for bloggers in the industry who are promoting companies where they are being paid to do the promotion.

Well, I expected more from the news.

Seems like the P2P world is still divided. Either you are :

    1. Downloading for yourself, and just trying to improve the way you get your new “Lost” episode, or

    2. Large companies trying to use the P2P buzzword (and our CPU) to get into our pockets in a new way, that saves the m money.

I didn’t really see any change in the field, or any real NEW usage for the technology, only the fact that we are far from having serious wide-spread commercial use of P2P. Come on! Bring something interesting. Use automated RSS feeds and P2P to update computers from viruses at real-time. Make reliable data back-up networks, spreading data over every computer…
