Pravda, you're correct... the sheer quantity of content, which is growing quadratically makes it really really difficult to get any sort of exposure.

We're solving this in a couple of different ways. First, we created a new distribution format - a blipcast - which allows users to navigate through vast amounts of video content really quickly (we call it hypernavigation).

We've wrapped all of this in a framework that metasearches the usual suspects (as a facebook app for testing).

I'd love feedback - try it at http://blipcast.tv/

Great post Pravda. We have been working in this space for over 2 years and agree there is a major problem today for both content creators and viewers in finding something good to see as well as provide a platform for content owners to manage and distribute content.

We have developed a killer solution to both problems and are just now becoming visible in the market as a player in this space. We don’t sign deals with major media companies like Joost. We don’t serve only one type of content like YouTube or Revver. Our video search VeZoom.com combines the timeliness of a feed based search with the precision of a crawl based search and returns the most relevant and comprehensive results across the entire Web. VeZoom utilizes proprietary video search technology and an advanced algorithm that ultimately allows consumers to easily and efficiently sift through massive amounts of video content. VeZoom scours over 15 million videos worldwide everyday to deliver the most comprehensive video focused search available. Better results than Google Video, AOL, and Yahoo. Try it yourself and see!

While VeZoom provides a super-fast "platform agnostic" video search engine/aggregator, our MonetizeMedia.com products provides digital distribution and advertisement solutions with Intelligent ad serving to context based video serving. Solving the problem of video delivery for mid-tier content producers and giving them a means to monetize their assets directly to the public. It is the democratization of video fulfilling the promise of the million channel universe.
