Avid’sproduct manager, started to blog, a move towards transparency from a company that is facing many challenges in the market place. It will be interesting to see how it evolves.
I'm not suggesting that you are "wrong" but rather that maybe there is a way to evolve the technology platform without effecting the storyline and/or changing the way you watch TV. Until such an implementation is totally transparent to your viewing experience and adds value rather than takes away value, such a platform will be a failure.
And for your viewing experience I would like to believe the feature can just be turned off. :)
